First "solid" food - rice cereal!

Most of it ended up on her bib and under her chin, but there's plenty of time to perfect the art of eating with a spoon.

Rolling over

4 month check-up

Kate had her 4 month check-up today, complete with two more shots.  She did great at the appointment - practiced rolling over while we were waiting, and even smiled at the doctor!  Then she cried at the shots, of course.  She seems healthy as can be!  Here are her stats:

Weight: 14 pounds 8 ounces (50th percentile) -- that's more than twice her birth weight!
Head circumference: 16 inches (50th percentile)
Height: 25 1/4 inches (85th percentile) -- nice and tall!

Kate smiles a lot now, but it's hard to capture it because as soon as she sees the camera light...

...she makes crazy wide-eyed scared faces like these!

Today I tried taking her out to the porch in the sun.  Much better results.
