9 months old

Just as Katherine turns 9 months old, she is about to outgrow her 9-month size clothes!

We had these family photos taken at a "harvest festival" at a friend's church on Halloween.

Highlights from the past 2 weeks

We've been busy around here!  Mostly with parents working, everyone having multiple colds, and Katherine acquiring a 3rd tooth.  She is doing great at daycare.  Kate loves the Jumperoo they have there, so much that now she tries to jump even in our non-springy apparatus at home, as well as while standing on our laps, etc.  She is eating a lot, and taking longer naps at daycare than at the beginning.  Generally, Katherine is a happy little girl and we are enjoying her every day.  Now, here are some photos!

Emily's college roommate Allison came for a visit during a cross-country road trip!  We hadn't seen her in over 5 years.

8 months old!

Almost every photo of Katherine nowadays is of her sitting and playing.

...and socks!  There's a bodysuit too, with a cat on it.  We'll see if it still fits her in a few weeks!

She actually tipped over while sitting and ended up with the bowl on her head!

Daddy picked Katherine up from her crib to wake her from an afternoon nap, and couldn't resist extending the nap a little longer on the couch.

At first she's just enthusiastically yelling and waving the spoon around after eating her dinner, but eventually she says "da da," one of her favorite new skills.  Also notice the pink sock that she took off herself and threw on the floor!
